The problem isn't that we been told lies; it's that we end up living them. The strategy is to recognize and resist the three enemies that sabotage your peace. The world, the flesh, and the devil are at war with our soul. The devil's primary tactic is to drive the soul and society into ruin is deceptive ideas that play to disordered desires which are normalized in a sinful society.

Don’t fear the enemy because of the availability of the mighty hand of God.
What are the three forces that battle against your well-being? Which is most pervasive? Which is most subtle? Which is most challenging?
Do you agree with John Mark Comer's summary that the devil uses deceptive ideas that plays to the disordered desires of our flesh that are normalized in a sinful society, the world? Why or why not?
Which of the two extremes about the devil in The Screwtape Letters do you most live by in default? Do you downplay his influence or exaggerate his importance?
Are you alert? Do you have the proper perspective of a sober mind that prepares your stance to resist the Devil?
