Seedlings Preschool Ministry

Love God AND children? We have multiple opportunities for you to impact kids through Children’s Ministries. Nursery & Preschool – Watch over our littlest ones during a worship service on a rotation. We also need Administrators, Team Leaders, and Small Group Leaders (SGL) each week during our Connect Group time. TRIBE 252
Partner with our existing teachers and volunteers during our Sunday morning Connect Groups. Serve as an Admin, Team Leader, Small Group Leader (SGL) or as a substitute. TRIBE 252
Through a blend of Bible teaching, scripture memorization, and games, TRIBE 252 trains children in PreK through 5th grade to love, know, and serve Christ. Adult volunteers are needed for every age group.

First Baptist Youth Ministry exists to help our youth encounter Christ and develop a deep relationship with Him. Adults can partner each week during worship and help facilitate a small group on Wednesday nights and on Sunday mornings during Connect Groups.

Disciple Now happens every year at First Baptist. It is a weekend retreat for students to grow in their walk with Christ and in friendship with the rest of the youth group. Host homes are needed every year for each age groups as well as co hosts.

Do you believe that first impressions can make a huge impact? Great! So do we. These opportunities may be a fit for you. Greeter – Welcome people with a warm smile and a handshake as they enter the church. Guest Services – Visit with guests before and after Connect Groups and after the worship service in the Guest Services area to get to know them and welcome them to First Baptist. Usher – Serve the congregation during the worship services and special events.

Are you tech savvy or have an interest in the production side of worship? If so, we would love to plug you into our media team. We offer a livestream of our worship services each week as well as DNA classes throughout the year. We rely on volunteers each week in many areas to make our live worship services and broadcasts possible. Worship sound & Lighting - help run sound in our worship services and for special events. Worship Lyrics - we use ProPresenter for lyrics during worship each week. Camera operator & broadcast sound - we use PTZ cameras operated in our broadcast room as well as a separate sound system just for the livestream. We use a team of volunteers whom we train on each area of service and let them shadow our existing volunteers as they learn the ins and outs of our broadcast/media ministry.

Do you have a heart for worship and the gift of singing? Or do you play an instrument? First Baptist Worship Ministry seeks to provide opportunities for people to encounter Jesus in a real and powerful way. We believe that God gave us worship to glorify Him. We use a team of servants each week to make this happen; from musicians to vocalists, from scripture readers to our Announcement Team. If you have interests in any of these areas we would love to partner with you into the worship ministry at First Baptist.

Missions

International Missions

Though all mankind was lost in sin, any who repent and believe in Jesus may receive the free gift of salvation because of His perfect life, atoning death, and triumphant resurrection — this is the glorious good news of the Gospel. We believe that God has called each of us to share the good news of Jesus to the nations: starting where we are and working outward. First Baptist has a heart for missions, having engaged the Chorti people in Honduras over the years, sponsored teams to Kenya, Pakistan, Germany, Southeast Asia and beyond. Our Missions team are currently praying through partnering with a people group in Central America.

Local Missions

First Baptist has a heart for Seminole and Gaines County, that its people would know the love of Christ. Over the years we have been a part of many local mission projects, but over the past few years, we partnered with area churches in an annual Community Rehab Project. Many churches and businesses came alongside us to provide materials and manpower to see a number of homes improved, from landscaping to wheelchair ramp repair, to painting, and bathroom and kitchen remodels. We were amazed to see God move through his people to be a blessing to another, and look forward to many more projects in the years to come.

Community Rehab

Community Rehab Project is a Jesus-centered group that uses shoe letter faith to demonstrate the love of Christ through home improvements of qualified homeowners in Seminole, Texas.

Seminole Strong

Seminole Strong is a festival put on by Seminole area churches to benefit the families and students in the SISD community. www.seminolestrong.net
