Untangling Christmas

How is God going to make it all right? How is he going to redeem all the suffering and loss of this world . . . and in your own life? We need more than a silver-lining outlook on life. Much, much more. We need an unbreakable, unquenchable hope. Jesus is the only hope strong enough to overcome the heartache of this world. The birth of Jesus is when heaven kisses earth. Christmas changes everything!

Generosity Through Giving

We want to thank those of you who give faithfully and systematically to our church. We hope you know how important your giving is to what God is doing at FBC Seminole, in our community, and across the planet through the different ministries we are able to partner with through your financial generosity. We've fixed plumbing, remodeled kitchens, replaced shingles, celebrated our teachers, and made  a difference in a host of other opportunities. Your generosity matters. We offer Financial Peace University on a consistent basis for those who need financial help.  It's a financial management system that allows multitudes to eliminate debt and live in freedom. Text the amount you want to give to 84321.

When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egyptwhere he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled“A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egyptand said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who were trying to take the child’s life are dead.”So he got up, took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. Having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galileeand he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was said through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.

The cracks let the light shine bright.

Your glitch can be a gift.

God untangles the strands to let the light shine through:

(1) Your Longing Can Lead to Liberation.

(2) Your Sin Can Find Restoration

(3) Your Promise is Ripe for Realization

1. Your Longing Can Lead to Liberation
hey

Jesus is the fulfillment of the promise of Moses

2. Your Sin Can Find Restoration

There are cracks in Christmas. We live in a broken, lonely world.

He will use your crack to shine His light.

Your glitch can be a gift.

Your weakness can be a witness.

3. Your Promise is Ripe for Realization
It’s a fulfillment of a promise of a new Exodus with the formation of a new people of God and a greater work of deliverance.
How will we respond?

Your prompt obedience can bring a promise to realization.
