We hope you know how important your giving is to what God is doing at FBC Seminole, in our community, and across the planet through the different ministries we are able to partner with through your financial generosity. We've fixed plumbing, remodeled kitchens, replaced shingles, celebrated our teachers, and made a difference in a host of other opportunities. Your generosity matters. We offer Financial Peace University on a consistent basis for those who need financial help. It's a financial management system that allows multitudes to eliminate debt and live in freedom. Those on Team Jesus believe
The Spirit of God is within us
Jesus has a purpose and a plan for us.
God designed us to live with God's people around us.
I. Those on Team Jesus Embrace the Spirit of God within us.
The church begins and continues the ministry of Jesus in the same way Jesus operated: through the outpouring and filling of the Holy Spirit.
Spiritual gifts are how Jesus continues Hs ministry on earth by His Spirit living in and through you.
Jesus was Spirt-filled, Spirit-anointed, and Sprit led.
The Holy Spirit is your advocate, your helper, your defense attorney, a down payment on heaven, and the very presence and power of God living within you and promising to complete the work Jesus began in you on the day you believed!
2. Team Jesus Believes God has a Plan and Purpose for Each of Us
A. You want to know God's will. Discover Your Gift!
You cannot walk with the Spirit if you are unfamiliar with the gifts God has given you for service in His Kingdom.
B. The Gifts are for Service not for Show
You cannot rightly apply the Word of God without the Spirt of God within you and the people of God around you.
The gift God gave you is not to puff you up above others, but to enable you to lift them up above you.
1. You can denigrate your gift.
2. You can elevate your gift.
3. You can contaminate your gift.
4. You can activate your gift for the glory of God, the edifying of others, and for the common good.
III. Those on Team Jesus Live with God's People Around Us
A spiritual gift is simply when Jesus uses you to accomplish something He wants done in the world.
God works in your life through the spiritual gift of others.
Nothing helps you grow in your relationship with Jesus like helping someone else with theirs.
