July 31 – Rev. Ricky Cavitt – Pastor Joe went to Seminole High School with Ricky
I have a beautiful wife and two awesome children! God has blessed me with four awesome interns, and I have had the opportunity to work at Coggin for 36 years. My favorite hobby is hunting.

August 7 – James Darby – One of Pastor Joe’s best friends – they share the exact same birthday
James Darby is the founder and Sr. Pastor of Body of Faith, a committed multi-racial church in Stafford, TX.  He and his wife Joscelyn, along with some friends, planted the church in 2004. Over the course of the 12 years of its existence, the church has become a healthy family church, the heartbeat of which is its multi-racial makeup not just in the congregation, but also in staffing and leadership. It is James’ desire to see the church reflect the day of Pentecost and the return of Christ when all nations will shout the highest praise to the return of Jesus Christ as Lord.  He has a passion to see people become radically devoted to Jesus, committed to each other, and relentlessly dedicated to reaching those outside of God’s family with the Gospel.
James received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Texas Southern University and a Masters in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth Texas.  He currently serves on the SBTC Mission Board and is a frequent speaker on KHCB radio, 105.7FM.  He is the author of a revival study, BROKENNESS, which is focused on the heart of those seeking Christ. James enjoys golfing, fishing, looking at model homes, landscaping and watching the Texans and Rockets.
