Elements: Building Blocks of a Strong Faith (Scripture)
Spiritual habits cultivate the heart soil to prepare it for God’s work. The periodic table demonstrates the essential elements of chemical composition. This series will explore the building blocks of a strong faith. Our sermon series in October and November
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.
Your life is always moving in the direction of your strongest thoughts[Image] https://imageproxy-cdn.youversionapi.com/640×640/https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/mushroom-event-images-prod/16865316-1540543377952.jpg
What comes into your mind comes out in your life.
1. Identify the Stronghold that is holding you back.
2. Name the Truth that demolishes the Stronghold.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
